Turmeric Latte with Ginger - Golden Milk Mix
The sunny yellow hot drink sweetens the morning and gets everyone through the day feeling awake. The latte is a wonderful breakfast drink, but is also a great kickstarter for a decent dose of afternoon motivation.
Quick preparation: simply stir 1 teaspoon of the turmeric latte mixture into 200 ml (plant-based) milk, heat and sweeten to taste.
Preparation according to Ayurveda: Traditionally, in Ayurveda, a paste is first prepared from the turmeric spice mixture. To do this, mix ¼ cup of spice mixture with ½ cup of water. The mixture is brought to a simmer on the stove and cooked until a paste is formed - this can be kept in the refrigerator for 10 days.
To prepare turmeric latte, boil a teaspoon of the paste with 200 ml (plant-based) milk, refine with a teaspoon of coconut oil and sweeten as desired with agave syrup, honey or coconut blossom sugar.
