Ancient Purity's bitter apricot kernels come from the traditional growing region of Hunza in Pakistan. They are collected by hand immediately after the apricots open, the hard stone is carefully cracked, and the kernels are then gently dried and packaged .
Unlike sweet apricot kernels, which are sometimes sold as a snack, these kernels have an intensely bitter taste . They naturally contain higher amounts of the plant compound amygdalin (vitamin B17) .
