Kizhli for the herbal stamp
dissolving and cleaning
Kizhli means herbal poultice – it is a mixture of herbs and spices used in the poultice. It is very loosening and warming, which is why it is primarily used in the treatment of congestion, hardening, and deposits.
It combines well with Pinda Thailam in the pot, as the latter has a slightly cooling effect. It is very effective for dissolving the nadis and marmas.
Ingredients:
Coriander, fenugreek, radish seeds, cumin, celery seeds, dill, gugulu, cress seeds, mustard seeds, camphor, Kunderikam (frankincense)
Preparation of herb sachets:
Wrap 60g of this mixture with a small onion and a lemon into a bag.
The mixture is used together with lemon and onions and therefore has a rather strong smell.
