Basmati Rice: The fragrant delight from the Himalayas
Basmati rice, a genuine natural product, is grown exclusively in northern India and Pakistan. At the foot of the Himalayas, this rice thrives under ideal climatic conditions, which give it its unmistakable aroma. In Ayurveda, it is considered "the sweet-smelling one" and is highly valued for its positive effect on all three doshas (vata, pitta and kapha).

preparation recommendation
To develop the full flavour of the basmati rice, wash the rice under running water and cook it in twice the amount of water with a little salt, preferably Himalayan salt, for about 10 minutes. Then cover the rice and leave to swell for 10 minutes. The rice becomes particularly tasty if you add a spoonful of ghee (clarified butter fat).

Basmati rice should be stored dry and cool to preserve its full flavor.
