Agnihotra cow dung
Agnihotra is the simplest fire technique of Homa therapy. It is the basis of all other methods of Homa therapy and follows the principle:
“Heal the atmosphere and the atmosphere will heal you.”
Agnihotra is performed precisely at sunrise and sunset. Traditionally, a pyramid-shaped copper bowl is used in which the cow dung is smoked.
Although this simple technique only takes about ten minutes in the morning and evening, the effects are quite astonishing: our atmosphere is purified on various levels, making us calmer and more balanced, plants thrive and are more resistant to all kinds of diseases. Animals feel good and we help to purify the environment within a certain radius.
Dried cow dung is used for the Agnihotra fire.
In all ancient cultures, whether among the Indians of North or South America, in Scandinavia, Eastern or Western Europe, Africa or Asia, cow dung is considered a medicinal substance with strong disinfecting and detoxifying effects.
Through the process of Agnihotra, cow dung, ghee and rice form a combination that rises into the atmosphere and neutralizes negativity, while also providing nourishment for all life. Crop yields increase and Mother Earth comes back into harmony with the cosmos.
